If the world isn't your Oyster...

June 12, 2011

If you're not a great lover of Oysters, why don't you give these Japanese beauties a chance?

Unlike the commercial Pacific, Sydney Rock and Eastern Oysters, the Kumamoto Oyster is considerably smaller, with a deeper cup.

They have a delicate creamy butter flavour which is subtle and sweet compared to it's rivals.

It is also without the slimy texture Oysters are famously known for, making it perfect for any Oyster-phoebes.

Best served as nature intended, raw and without a dressing
-if however, you feel the need to spice things up a bit,
a drizzle of Tabasco Sauce, a squeeze of Lime or a drizzle of Lemon
is more than enough to complement these
dainty morsels.
