Red Bull Tropical launch

Last week I attended a headdress workshop to celebrate the launch of Red Bull's new tropical flavour.

Hosted at the Red Bull Studios near London Bridge the event saw fashion artist Fred Butler showcase her latest work and give a short masterclass in order to help us create our jungle themed masterpieces.



 

Having raided a table filled with plastic fruit and silk flowers I got to work on my 3D masterpiece. With a legitimate fear of the glue gun slowing me down I spent most of my time creating paper leaves and cutting foliage whilst others were tearing ahead gluing bunches of plastic grapes onto their paper templates.



 

The new tropical flavoured Red Bull is surprisingly delicious. I tend to find Red Bull rather artificial tasting, however this new edition is fruity and refreshing. With a bitter hit of orange and fresh kick of papaya, the sparkling drink would be at home at a summer's BBQ or garden party (imagine the cocktail possibilities: a revitalising drink that helps you party the night away...).

After a couple of Red Bull Tropical and Sailor Jerry cocktails and a helping hand to control the glue gun's terrifying lava the finishing result was a botanical crown fit for any King/Queen of the jungle.
