Fallen Princesses

January 05, 2012

What if Disney princesses didn't live happily ever after?

The Fallen Princess series places Fairy Tale characters in modern day scenarios, where the 'happily ever after' outcome is replaced with more realistic outcomes.

Photographer Dina Goldstein decided to re-think their outcomes
"I began to imagine Disney's perfect princesses juxtaposed with real issues that were affecting women around me",
"such as illness, addiction and self-image issues."

A beautiful collection that really hits home.

Iplates -Imagine Living Your Life Within An Adobe Program

January 03, 2012

Users of Adobe software will love these “iPlate’s” by French illustrator Todd Borka.

“Who has never dreamed to be able to manage details of one’s own life like we manipulate today images on software like Photoshop? Who has never thought to do ‘apple Z’ after breaking a glass?”

Borka created this series of funny plates in order to make people imagine how different life would be if we were living within an adobe program, a simple undo or clone could be done to save you from mistakes or to make rigorous reptative activities simple.

A lovely gift idea for only €20 (+ €18 for Worldwide shipping); or $53 for the set of 4.

Sci-fi Destiny

December 29, 2011

Photographer Tejal Patni  has taken the concept of new beginnings to create a 2012 calendar for fashion brand Splash

Heavily influenced by B-movie sci-fi clichés, the calendar asks: are we destined to revisit our same life choices, or will we truly create a new beginning?
