The Video | Great Blogger Breakfast Off | Amanda Holden | Alpen

July 27, 2015

Amanda Holden behind the scenes Great Blogger Breakfast Off
Last month I participated in Alpen's Great Blogger Breakfast Off with Amanda Holden (you can read more about it here).

At long last, the video is now live!

I'm a bit gutted they only announced who ranked first (because I was miraculously placed 2nd, haha).

You can find my recipe here and Amanda's morning tips here.

Enjoy!

I saw this whilst researching for an article and found it rather fitting to this weeks Nation Beard Week.

Van Cleef & Arpels Picture Permission

November 08, 2011

After many emails the lovely client relations team at Van Cleef & Arpels have given me permission to use their advertising campaign pictures; after a few quick edits in Fireworks, here they are, fit for the magazine.

Thats just hope more companies will get back to me so I have permission to use other stunning images.

Flower Fresco for Perrier-Jouët Cuvée's

October 17, 2011

These great flower frescoes are a work of art created by Jo Lynn Alcorn for the print campaign of French champagne Perrier-Jouët.

Alcorn's enchanted imagination has been set loose and cast upon the job of having to create an equally elegant advert to celebrate the character of each Cuvée.

Five fluttering decorations were made for the collection, all hand cut from paper.

It's true what they say, simplicity can sometimes produce the most beautiful creations.

Angels Fall for Tom Ford

September 05, 2011

Victoria’s Secrets siren Candice Swanepoel ditched her angel wings and vamped it up for Tom Fords Fall 2011 Ad Campaign.

The VS model oozed sex appeal with bold red lips, draped in exquisite floor length purple lace, and figure hugging red silk and fur. The incredible shots were taken by
Mert Alus and Marcus Piggot along London’s own river Thames.

Candice’s wings weren’t the only things that seemed to go missing for the shoot, her full browed image seen previously has now been replaced with a bleached out look.

However ladies, I wouldn’t go rushing out to get your bleach just yet.

Beauty experts suggest getting a powdered colour pigment to brush over brows rather than reaching for the dye.

Brows or no brows, Candice has certainly raised a few with this dramatic look.

Angelina Jolie for Louis Vuitton

July 31, 2011

Bare foot and smoky-eyed, Jolie is pictured reclining on a wooden boat in Cambodia - the country she fell in love with, and adopted her son Maddox from, after filming of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider there in 2000.

Wearing her own clothes, no makeup and her own years-old monogrammed Alto bag, Jolie looks at peace in her photograph.

“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” Vuitton’s executive vice president Pietro Beccari tells WWD. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey.”

And though the handbag she carries in her ad is no longer in production, Jolie’s love of the piece is causing the company to consider “re-editing” it, Beccari says.

He would not discuss the amount Jolie was paid for the campaign, but says she did donate an undisclosed portion of her fees to charity.

Can we do a Better Job Reporters?

If we can produce a human version of this movie I'd be a very happy Editor!!
